Reggie Wilson

Reggie Wilson (Reginald L. Wilson) is a New York–based actor, director and playwright, and a proud member of Actors' Equity. He holds an MFA in Theatre from the University of Florida and a BA in Theatre Performance from Florida A&M University.

An eight-time AUDELCO Award winner, Reggie is known for his work in the American canon — from August Wilson and James Baldwin to Charles Fuller — and for muscular, emotionally exact performances that critics have called "charismatic" and delivered "with fierce conviction." Recent New York credits include Zooman and the Sign and Unentitled with the Negro Ensemble Company, and Fences with The Gallery Players. As a writer-performer his play Scrambled Eggs has been staged off-off-Broadway, and as a director he earned an AUDELCO Award for his revival of A Soldier's Play.

On screen he has appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Matthew Barney's River of Fundament, and the Spike Lee–produced Mania Days, among other film and television work. He is also a longtime teaching artist, having taught acting at City College of New York and the University of Florida.
